    2014-05-16 Malaysia Pulau Redang
    Batu Tokong (Tunnel Point)

Day trip out to Redang island about an hour from Perhentian Kecil. Highlight was a pair of sea turtles mating! They would swim up to the surface and back down to ~15m in a bit oblong circle. Also saw a HUGE moray giant moray (maybe ~2m long). Crocodoill long toms, blue-spotted ray, wrasse, rock cod, nudibranches, napoleonfish, snapper, fusilier, bannerfish, triggerfish, angelfish, gold-spotted trevalyl, barracuda, giraffe sea cucumber. Came up "early" due to LOA.

    C 58 Wreck (A.K.A. General Anaya)

Wreck dive on the C-58 wreck. Very cool - best wreck dive yet. Only the stern remains as Hurricane Wilma tore it in two in 2005 and dragged the bow section about 400m away. Entered the stern, which had a large school of fish (grouper?) hanging out and was very picturesque. Stern had open sides but covered top, so lots of light but no direct access to surface. Then did a swim through the main central corridor. I was a bit nervous at first but totally cool and worth it. Peered into the various rooms and compartments on either side along the way. Came back around and then did a swim through a very low hole at the bottom to come out inside. All and all, very cool. Dive shop: Aqua Adventures Eco Divers

No losses or causalities. Entered the cargo hold! Ship lying on it's side (starboard) in 18m of water. Saw: blue-spotted ray, lionfish, Indian Ocean Walkman, scorpionfish, coral cat shark, bambooshark, razorfish, yellow-back fusilier, snapper, shrimp goby, angelfish, tall-fin batfish, starry pufferfish (w/cleaner wrasse), black-spotted porcupinefish, map pufferfish, shortnose boxfish

    Giant's Castle

First NITROX dive. Drift dive. Was fantastic! Highlight was seeing a HUGE small-eye stingray, just chilling in the current.
